Paddle Court Attendant Job Description
Job Title : Waveny Paddle Court Attendant
Classification : Part-Time; Seasonal (Sept-May)
Salary Range : $15.69-$23 / hr.
Shift Hours :
Monday thru Friday- 8-10pm (8-1 : 30pm; 1 : 30-6 : 00pm; 6 : 00-10 : 00pm) Shifts may vary based on staffing
Saturday & Sunday- 8 : 00-2pm; 2 : 00-9 : 00pm Shifts may vary based on staffing
Position Overview :
The Waveny Paddle Court Attendant is responsible for overseeing the reservation and usage of the Waveny Paddle Courts and providing general supervision of the Waveny Lodge Building.
This role ensures a smooth operation of the facility and maintains a positive experience for visitors.
Key Responsibilities :
- Court Management : Oversee the daily use of the paddle courts, including managing reservations through Court Reserve.
- Customer Service : Provide friendly and professional assistance to the public via phone and in-person interactions.
- Facility Maintenance : Perform light interior maintenance, including keeping the facility clean and organized.
- Fee Management : Collect guest fees, handle cash transactions, and maintain accurate financial records.
- Regulation Enforcement : Implement and enforce facility rules and regulations to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment.
- Event Oversight : Supervise contracted paddle parties and related events.
- Snow Removal : Clear snow from stairs and walkways to ensure safe access to the building.
- Waste Management : Dispose of garbage properly by transporting it to the designated dumpster.
- Emergency Response : Be prepared to respond to medical emergencies that may arise at the facility.
Qualifications :
- Must be 16+ with strong organizational skills, patience, and effective communication abilities.
- Current certification in CPR / AED required.
- Background check required.
Physical Requirements :
- Ability to listen, observe, and enforce facility rules.
- Competence in following instructions and manuals.
- Physical ability to operate cleaning equipment, perform light snow shoveling, lift and carry light garbage bags, and maintain constant visual supervision of the courts and facility.
