Additional Schedule Details : Desired shift work is from 0800-1200 during normal office hours. However, we are seeking all available hours during the summer months.

Job Summary / Basic Functions
The OMVA Student Office Assistant will serve as an office administrator, operating as the first and last point of contact for all students who enter the OMVA Office.
Office Assistant will be responsible for creating a welcoming and professional environment for all students and visiting faculty / staff, as well as for providing basic administrative tasks such as filing, phone management, answering emails, retrieving mail / packages, breaking down boxes / packages, recycling and event planning.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be enrolled at EKU
- Must be eligible for access to EKU Slate and EKU Degree Works systems.
Preferred Qualifications :
Must be a full time, Federal Work Study eligible student. No remote work available.
Job Duties :
60%% - Staff the front desk of the OMVA Office, located in the Powell building. Ensure all visiting students are checked in and out of the office and serve as a liaison to OMVA staff.
Provide resources and troubleshooting to students who are visiting our computer lab. - (Essential)
- 20%% - Assist the School Certifying Official with screening of Veterans Affairs benefits applications to ensure completion prior to certification. - (Essential)
- 20%% - Assists with Office of Military and Veterans Affairs functions and social events. - (Essential)
