As an organization committed to making a difference, they are seeking an enthusiastic and meticulous Part Time AR Specialist to manage high-volume accounts and support their financial operations.

AR Specialist Role Overview :

The AR Specialist will play a critical role in our client's finance team, responsible for creating and issuing invoices, applying payments, reconciling accounts, managing collections, and supporting ad hoc projects.

This role demands a proactive individual who is reliable, eager to learn, and not afraid to ask questions. The ideal candidate will manage their schedule effectively and ensure all tasks are completed on time.

Key AR Specialist Responsibilities :

1. Invoicing and Billing :

• Generate and issue monthly invoices / bills for over 300 accounts.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness in the invoicing process to maintain strong financial health.

2. Payment Application :

• Apply various forms of payments, including checks, credit cards, and ACH.
• Maintain customer contact for obtaining credit card information when necessary.

3. Account Reconciliation and Maintenance :

• Reconcile accounts regularly to ensure accuracy.
• Perform ongoing account maintenance to keep financial records up to date.

4. Collections and Account Management :

• Review customer accounts, investigate outstanding balances, and follow up to resolve issues.
• Manage collections to ensure timely payments and maintain positive relationships with customers.

5. AP Back-Up and Ad Hoc Projects :

• Provide support for Accounts Payable as needed.
• Participate in special projects and other tasks as assigned.

AR Specialist Qualifications :

• Experience managing schedules and handling high-volume accounts.
• Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals (GAAP), debits, and credits.
• Ability to think critically, ask pertinent questions, and solve problems effectively.
• Reliable and eager to learn with excellent organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills for effective customer interaction.
• Local Boulder area candidates only, please.

Work Environment :

• Casual and collaborative work environment.
• Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Parking included, conveniently located.
