Duties
Duties include but are not limited to : General Clerical duties; data entry, filing, making copies, answering the phones efficiently and routing inquiries to the appropriate person.
Greet and assist visitors, communicate via a 2-way radio with department crews, mail runs & help with order / stocking office supplies.
Create / close work orders using FAMIS software; assist with research and analysis of work order issues in FAMIS.Assist with department inventory, data gathering, reconciliations and reporting;
assist with material checkout, receiving documentation, archive, and warehouse organization.Create, update, maintain and organize building plans files.
The files are both in electronic and paper format.Conduct field surveys and verifications of existing campus spaces through capturing conditions with photographs and measurements.
Information collection may include capturing room layouts, interior and exterior signage, site conditions and other features.
Provide customer service support, follow up with vendors regarding warranty items, return of unused samples and tidy / catalogue material room.
Other duties as assigned.
- Qualifications
- Preferred Qualifications : 2 years previous office experience desired.Demonstrate ability to follow direction and be detail oriented.
Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Outlook preferred and knowledge of FAMIS software desired.Ability to utilize office equipment (copy machine, fax, scanner, etc.
and follow verbal and written instructions.Demonstrate excellent customer service skills, motivation, dependability, punctuality and a positive attitude.
Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both oral and written.Ability to work under pressure and answer questions with accurate information.
Ability to work with numerous interruptions.Dependable and able to follow through on assignments.A valid California Driver’s License and Vehicle Insurance is preferred.
Required Qualifications :
Undergraduate students must be registered / enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall / Spring units.Must have received and accepted Financial Aid award for the current semester / year in which you are applying.
