Position will be working for approximately 5-6 months.
All of our field staff are provided with :
- Safety gear including company boot (allowance), vests, glasses, etc.
- Paid Training at $24.93 / hour
- Company provided vehicle
- Benefits include medical and dental insurance, vacation & holiday pay, K plan with possibility of overtime paid at time and a half
Responsibilities :
This position is responsible for installing single phase electric meters by replacing an existing meter (change-out). The new meter and meter module are installed to automate the process of reading a meter for accurate consumption and billing.
Requirements :
- Valid driver’s license
- Must successfully pass pre-employment screenings : drug test, background check, and driving record
- Must be able to walk up to 10-15 miles per day, outdoors in all-weather environments
- Ability to perform physical duties such as lifting, pushing, pulling up to 50 lbs. of force unassisted.
Working Conditions and Hours :
- M-Th 7 : 00am - 5 : 30pm, occasional Friday's
- After the initial classroom training and field training totalling four weeks paid at $24.93 / hour , employees will be transitioned to being paid on a piece work basis which allows most of our employees to earn in excess of $25 / hour .
- Outdoor work environment
- Normal working hours are daylight hours; limited work hours on weekends except for periodic on-call duty and mass workloads
- Little supervision to give you freedom to work independently and manage your own day
Knowledge and Abilities :
- Successfully complete the company’s training program and pass applicable written and field tests (Meterpro)
- Learn and apply safety measure relating to motor vehicle operation and other field related matters
