Title : Sr. Software Engineer

Location : Remote Anywhere in the contiguous US
Job Summary
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will build products to help organizations train their employees and overcome their most pressing people-related problems at scale.
You will work with product, design, data, and content teams to build a modern learning platform, scaling usage (and impact) 10x in the next year while maintaining a stable app.
Essential Job Functions
Build : You will ship regularly and iteratively, writing testable, readable and maintainable code.
Track & Refine Scaling Processes : You will aid the team in tracking the performance of shipped products, refining any processes as needed for the app to continue to scale.
Review & Architect : You will weigh in on major architecture decisions, play a leadership role in code reviews for the team, helping set the engineer bar, and defining best practices.
Collaborate : Early in the development cycle, you will partner with product, data and design to define the product features and functionality to ensure we're building the right thing at the right time and in the right way.
Support : You will work with the sales, marketing, implementation and support teams to ensure users get the most value from the products you've built.
Additional Job Responsibilities
We use Datadog to understand the current operational telemetry. You will create dashboards to help us monitor feature and general performance.
Being proactive, digging into areas you are unfamiliar with and a willingness to work with ambiguity, by understanding the business needs and helping us choose a path forward.
Basic Qualifications
7+ years of experience as a Software Engineer.
Experience with both Python and Django. (About our Tech Stack - )
Experience with SQL.
Experience with JavaScript.
Experience with one or more of the following programming languages / frameworks : React, PHP, or TypeScript.
Preferred Skills & Experience
Experience with Terraform or AWS
An eagerness to dive in and understand and continually improve our codebase, encouraging fellow developers to do the same.
Experience architecting or refactoring complex systems.
Excellent written communication skills, this is a team that works via written words, so not it’s just an ability to write, but a desire to drive change via writing.
Experience with performance, security, privacy, accessibility, and localization / globalization.

California - Anticipated compensation for this position is $148-185k. Actual offer may be outside of this prediction and will be determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data.
