Telecommunications Technician - VoIP Implementation
Location : Green Bay
Experience Level : Entry-Level (1-2 years of experience required)
Overview : transitioning from Cisco to Alcatel, and we’re seeking a Technician to assist with VoIP implementations in the Green Bay Area
Responsibilities :
- Adhere to telecommunications policies to ensure security and business continuity of VoIP enterprise network.
- Install and test new and existing VoIP telephone and voice mail components at hospitals and critical locations.
- Manage port activation, connectivity, testing, and user placements.
- Program VoIP telephony systems for advanced call routing.
- Handle small station wiring requests and perform wire cross-connecting.
- Troubleshoot and identify telephone issues, replacing defective hardware and making software adjustments.
- Document repairs and installations, maintaining accurate records.
- Collaborate with other departments to improve VoIP telephony equipment and services.
Required Experience :
- 1-2 years of experience in telecommunication services or IT Hardware Support, including diagnosing and troubleshooting service issues, wiring, voice mail programming, basic phone networking configuration, and VoIP technologies.
