A successful Project Specialist candidate will effectively support the construction Project Manager to ensure the project stays on track and meets quality standards, while managing their time and work independently.
The Project Specialist also will work cross-functionally with design, real-estate and external vendors and contractors to review construction drawings, identify potential project risk, order, coordinate delivery and installation of FFE.
In addition, the Project Specialist will collect and maintain system data, documentation and ensure vendor and General Contractor obligations have been satisfied.
Lastly, the Project Specialist will monitor contracts, process billing, through the issuance of purchase orders to support project close out.
As a project specialist-construction , you will
- Manage all material and equipment orders
- Take part in meetings to stay current with scope and timelines
- Issue contracts and purchase orders
We’d love to hear from people with :
- A strong desire for growth with leadership aspirations
- Highly motivated with a Team first attitude
- 3+ years project administration, including tracking
- 3 years order management : progressive experience in managing orders through complete order life cycle
- 3 years' experience in the construction or facilities industry
- 3+ years' experience using project construction management software (MS Project, Tririga, Primavera, Project Mates, etc.)
- 3+ years vendor / supplier management
Education : High school diploma or GED or 4 + years of US military experience

Fundamental Project Management :
- Basic task and project management skills
- Strong problem solving skills
- Effectively work in ambiguous situations
- Effective communication skills
Data Management :
Comfort working with database, reporting and order management software
Fundamental Construction Knowledge :
Familiarity with construction terms, concepts, drawings and documents

If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above.
For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above.
The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge / skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity.
At Starbucks, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
