Position Summary :
The Virtual Clinical Services Associate is a full-time, fully remote position responsible for supporting virtual patient care activities and promoting patient-focused care while displaying a positive and professional first impression of the practice and showing the patients a we care attitude.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities :
- Telehealth Processing includes but is not limited to, scheduling telehealth services, calling canceled / no-show patients to reschedule, obtaining patient demographics, triaging clinic calls, and accurately responding to patient questions and inquiries.
- Provides primary facilitation and coordination of care for telemedicine services.
- Coordinate, obtain, manage, and track referrals and referral requests.
- Ensure that supporting patient documents, results, and reports are attached to referral requests as appropriate.
- Collaborate on implementing planned telehealth and remote patient monitoring programs and ASC schedule fulfillment monitoring, and may collaborate with leadership to coordinate training and participate in the development and execution of telehealth best practices.
- Centralized Fax processing, scanning, and indexing of all pertinent information into patient charts.
- May occasionally assist with Ad Hoc processing of Bump / Wait / Recall in times of need, remote scanning assistance, patient outreach initiatives, and assistance covering COPS queue (where applicable).

Qualifications
Qualifications :
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED required.
- One to two (1 2) years of clinical experience.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in data entry and customer service, preferably in a medical setting.
- Prior MA, virtual care, or prior patient assistance center experience is preferred.
- Experience working remotely is preferred.
Knowledge, Competencies & Skills :
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficient knowledge of insurance and medical terminology, ICD, and CPT Codes.
- Computer proficiency and prior experience with EMR.
- Attention to detail and willingness to listen and learn.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal & written.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Very comfortable asking probing questions to patients.
- Must demonstrate a caring, supportive, compassionate, and patient attitude.
- Maintain HIPAA compliance.
- Multitasking and proactive problem-solving.
- Ability to type a minimum of 40 words per minute.
Tech Requirements for the Job :
- High-speed, reliable internet connection to ensure uninterrupted communication and access to necessary systems and tools.
- Quiet and private work environment to maintain the confidentiality of patient information and minimize background noise during calls.
- Proficiency in using remote collaboration tools, such as video conferencing software, instant messaging platforms, and customer relationship management systems.
