The Arc of Central Alabama is an organizationthat provides a full range of services for children and adults withintellectual and developmental disabilities.

The Arc is looking foran initiativetaking technology savvy meticulous individual to joinour Employment Services team. They will provide administrativesupport for employment transition and career programming and willhave a broad and varied role with tasks being allocated by multiplepeople at a variety of levels across the division.

Overallresponsibilities include :

RESPONSIBILITIES ANDDUTIES :

  • Prepare andSchedule meetings in person and virtually.
  • Assist with billing function as needed by VP toADRS / DMH.
  • Manage contactinformation need by the department and delivercommunications.
  • Submitmonthly progress reports to partneringagencies.
  • Update monthlyauthorizations for services.
  • Organizing division schedules events and fileswith a system that is user friendly toeveryone.
  • Assist withSummer JETS intake process scheduling and time keeping ofparticipants in program
  • Coteach / Teach DSPorientation
  • Orderingsupplies / Manage purchases for school needs
  • Perform other duties as assigned as needed byleadership.

Qualifications :

  • Understands of clerical procedures and systemssuch as recordkeeping and filing
  • Demonstrates ability to work independently andtake initiative within the scope of work.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with peersand leadership orally and in writing.
  • Demonstrates working knowledge of the MicrosoftOffice Software Suite.
  • Meticulous and thorough
  • Ability to anticipate the needs of thedepartment and complete tasks without needing to beasked.
  • Manages timeefficiently and prioritizes tasks while maintaining qualitystandards
  • Possesses goodjudgment and ability to make good decisions.
  • Ability to work independently and in a teamenvironment
  • Initiativetaking analyticalperson
  • Displays aprofessional attitude and demeanor.

EXPERIENCE : 3 year(s) ofadministrative experience in the mental health fieldpreferred

  • High School Diploma orEquivalent is required
  • BSor BA degree in business office administration or related field ispreferred

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS : Must clearall background checks and prehiretesting.
