We seek an experienced Traffic Engineering Analyst to contribute to developing cutting-edge traffic design services throughout the Houston area.
You will employ established methods, procedures, and standards to execute routine engineering tasks under supervision.
Responsibilities :
- Conducts analyses of traffic and transportation systems, traffic impact studies, and corridor research.
- Supports professional engineering staff in creating traffic and roadway plans and designs.
- Utilizes prescribed methods to accomplish specific segments of larger projects.
- Performs preliminary analyses on various technical assignments.
- Assesses data to aid in developing solutions for transportation challenges.
- Carries out additional tasks as assigned.
Required Qualifications :
- Degree in civil engineering, planning, or a related discipline.
- EIT certification or PE
- 2+ years of relevant experience in engineering roles similar to those outlined above, with special emphasis on Traffic Impact Analysis, corridor mobility and long-term improvement analysis, and signal / electrical design.
- Proficiency with engineering software, programs, and methodologies relevant to the tasks described.
- Experience with modeling software such as SYNCHRO, CORSIM, and VISSIM.
- Proficiency in CADD software, particularly Microstation.
- Familiarity with transportation manuals and guidelines.
