We are currently seeking a highly dynamic Process / Manufacturing Engineering Technician with education / experience necessary to join our growing Engineering team based in our 240,000 square feet fulfillment and manufacturing center in Whitsett, NC (between Greensboro / Burlington).
Responsibilities :
- Contributing to the company’s success by supporting both strategic and tactical projects within the facility. These projects represent opportunities for the organization to develop new services, troubleshoot problems or launch initiatives designed to reduce operational costs, defects, or waste.
- Provide technical support to operations on a variety of engineering-related tasks including machine downtime, product problems, and quality evaluations.
- Work alongside engineers to assist in the design and implementation of technical solutions to a variety of technical problems.
- Use comprehensive knowledge, principles, practices, and procedures to support the facility and use data analysis in support of complex assignments for manufacturing, repair and distribution services.
- Collaborate with managers, finance and cross functional teams to aid in the execution of projects as they align with organization’s strategic and tactical decisions.
Basic Qualifications :
- Associate Degree or Technical Certification
- 1+ years of demonstrated and relevant work experience in a manufacturing and / or distribution environment
- At least 1+ years of experience in a warehouse / manufacturing facility
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized and ability to manage time and teamwork skills
- Ability to adapt to change and deal with ambiguity
Preferred Qualifications :
- SAP knowledge
- Proficient using Excel, Word and Outlook
- Experience with some level of project management
- Repair / asset reclamation experience
- Background in automation applications and software
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware : disassembling / re-assembling, product labeling, product packaging, etc.
