Overview

DIGI America, Inc. is seeking an experienced Label Division Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for all day-to-day production, operations and staff management for our Label Division and will be tasked with ensuring the quality of all work.

The ideal candidate will have experience in narrow web and flexo printing, strong attention to detail, and superior managerial skills.

The candidate must also have excellent organizational, communication, and decision-making skills.

Objectives

  • Ensure that the Label Division operates at peak efficiency with customer satisfaction the primary goal by supervising, organizing, and training all AEON employees and establishing, monitoring, and managing operational goals.
  • Train and manage the AEON team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals.
  • Oversee daily operations while controlling and managing inventory and logistics.
  • Review and prepare workflows, staffing requirements, space allocations, equipment layouts, and action plans to meet company standards for productivity, quality, and customer service.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing standards and procedures and by complying with legal regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all operations with overall responsibilities for production, quality, purchasing, and other production-related activities
  • Oversee production employees to ensure proper job scheduling, productivity standards are met using adequate production staffing
  • Coordinate all production activities to ensure objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Develop and maintain organizational and safety policies and procedures
  • Ensure quality and consistency of product, improve efficiencies, and control / reduce waste and associated costs throughout production operations
  • Review and analyze weekly production reports, address any production related issues, manage monthly inventory.
  • Communicate, incorporate, and manage all corporate goals
  • Provide dynamic, goal-driven leadership to build, motivate, train, and lead a high performing team
  • Ensure the growth of the business and be committed to the company's success

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Have 3-5 years production management / operations experience in the label or flexible packaging industry
  • Have color management and matching experience
  • Demonstrate experience with workflow management, systems management, waste reduction and operational efficiency
  • Have outstanding multi-tasking, organizational, and decision-making skills with an ability to complete difficult assignments in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
  • Demonstrate sound business judgment and superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Be driven to succeed, customer focused, and dedicated to producing top quality products delivered on time and on budget
  • Have a strong sense of urgency with a "get the job done" attitude
  • Be a "hands on" manager who will roll up sleeves daily
  • Outstanding communication skills with all levels of company staff, both written and verbal.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • Associates' degree (or equivalent)
