POSITION SUMMARY
The Recruitment and Community Relations Coordinator role is responsible for coordinating the recruitment, acquisition, and the onboarding process at the local distribution center to ensure new employees reflect and embody Webstaurant Store’s core values.
They will partner with local external organizations in both recruitment and volunteer activities to promote Webstaurant Store’s reputation as an employer of choice.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Posts and maintains jobs and applicants in our in-house applicant tracking program, responds to questions about application status, conducts phone interviews, creates job offers, works with Benefits to answer any questions about pre-employment
- Identifies strategic opportunities to recruit locally
- Builds relationships with local education institutions and professional / community organizations with the goal of creating various talent pipelines
- Coordinates hiring events and advertises them through various channels
- Manages location’s social media accounts (recruitment marketing)
- Researches and recommends creative ways to market our jobs and tracks results
- Provides regular reports to management related to recruitment / staffing data (turnover, staffing / temp agency fees, etc.)
- Works with employees to identify local non-profits to support through the Clark Foundation, our non-profit organization
- Coordinates local volunteer events for employees
- Conduct exit and stay interviews
- Other duties as assigned by management
EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in an industrial, manufacturing or distribution environment preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of recruiting / talent acquisition experience.
- Availability to travel to recruitment and community events
- Experience recruiting candidates in a warehouse, distribution center, manufacturing, and / or production environment preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
- Organized with exceptional attention to detail
- Proven ability to work with minimal supervision
- Solid understanding of EEO laws and interviewing best practices
- Demonstrated experience coordinating full cycle recruiting initiatives
- Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to exercise high emotional intelligence
- Ability to quickly adapt as business needs change
- Proficiency with computers as well as in depth working knowledge of MS Office products
- Experience with an applicant tracking systems preferred
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Work is performed while standing and / or walking, up to and including 8- hours / day depending on shift.
- Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
- Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
- Requires regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
- Requires the ability to regularly lift / carry -lbs. and push / pull up to lbs.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. Occasional activities may involve exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes, and gases.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The passage of employees through the work area is average and normal.
