The General Accountant I responsibilities include, but are not limited to, general ledger reconciliation, and financial reporting, as well as financial analysis and other special projects as assigned.

Responsibilities
- Oversees the daily POS information flow into JD Edwards.
- Processes month end journal entries.
- Reconciles and oversees inventory processes and reporting.
- Reconciles and oversees credit card receipt and other accounts receivable process and reporting.
- Works with division managers on timely and accurate end of month reporting.
- Reviews and prepares monthly financial statements.
- Reconciles specific general ledger accounts.
- Assists in the preparation of budgets.
- Assists in the preparation of year end audit work papers
- Communicates with co-workers, management and clients in a courteous and professional manner.
- Reports for work in a timely manner when scheduled.
Additional Job Duties :
The position may share job duties with other areas within the Accounting department (A / R, A / P) based on need and skillset.
This would be specifically communicated and outlined with assigned to specific individuals.
Other job duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications
Education and / or Experience (include certs or licenses needed) :
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Accounting or commensurate experience.
- One to three years of job experience in the related field preferred.
Minimum Qualifications :
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be organized and have strong problem solving skills.
- Ability to meet assigned deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of JD Edwards or other ERP software preferred.
- Must be able to communicate in English. IF APPLICABLE.
- Able and willing to deliver friendly, courteous, and prompt customer service.
- Able and willing to work cooperatively with other team members.
