Position Summary :

The Senior Product Manager position is responsible for the management of key product categories, and develops strategies and tactics to accelerate growth of revenue and profitability of the business.

This position will serve as an integral member of the marketing team to help drive ASP Globals strategic mission. This individual will develop and execute the product / category marketing plan, coordinating cross functional activity and projects, as well as build out key product categories through product development, sourcing and assessing / acquiring inorganic opportunities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Assist in the development and implementation of the companys brand strategy
  • Develop and execute effective strategic and tactical plans and programs for their product categories, to ensure achievement of top line sales growth and gross margin targets.
  • Develop short term and long-term product promotion strategies
  • Manages activities with members of various departments to implement marketing plan (sales, customer service, operations, sourcing, finance, value analysis, regulatory and quality assurance).
  • Formulates and proposes effective pricing strategies
  • Leads new product introduction process, including written product proposals, all launch activities, line extensions and modifications.
  • Collaborate with Demand Planning team to develop timely and accurate forecasts to ensure required fill rates on existing and new products, while supporting goals to improve return on working capital.
  • Constantly evaluate the mix of product codes assigned, reducing redundancy and increasing product line standardization, wherever possible.
  • Become a subject matter expert in key market segments by demonstrating end user focus, staying close to customers, gaining customer insights, and establishing relationships with industry key opinion leaders.
  • Coordinates participation at trade shows, seminars, meetings at health systems with end users to gain voice of the customer, and sales meetings.
  • Collaborate with Sales leadership to develop and execute necessary tools and training to improve sales force competency, to accelerate new product sales and provide superior customer service.
  • Prepare marketing activity reports and metrics for measuring program success
  • Conduct research to analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitive landscape, and prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data
  • Continually seek and research new sources of prospective customer data, and provide recommendations to sales and marketing leadership
  • Actively seek and positively respond to performance and personal development feedback, while initiating activities to enhance personal functional effectiveness to realize full career potential.

Education and / or Experience :

  • Bachelors degree is required, MBA preferred
  • 7+ years of product management, marketing or equivalent experience
  • Broad based knowledge in healthcare / medical device product management, strategy development, category financials, Voice of Customer process in healthcare industry
  • Experience creating impactful marketing plans and developing value propositions, positioning and targeting
  • Proven leadership skills, including decision facilitation, influencing and change management.
  • Sales experience and lab experience is a plus

Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong organizational skills
  • Experience with research using data analytics software
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in full Microsoft Office suite, especially with Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to travel up to 30%

Physical Demands :

Individuals may need to sit or stand as needed, may require walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods during the day, reaching above shoulder heights, below waist or lifting as required to file documents or store materials throughout the day.

The position may require lifting heavy supplies and office materials. Travel up to 10% may be required.
