Summary ofResponsibilities :
Responsibilities andessential job functions include but are not limited to thefollowing :
- Consistentlyoffer professional friendly and engagingservice
- Assist guests with mail messages andany plans or arrangements the guest intends to make during theirstay
- Assist guests regarding hotel facilitiesin an informative and helpful way
- Use a clearand articulate speaking voice with proper verbaletiquette
- Exercise judgment while handlingguest inquiries and respond promptly with accurate and thoroughinformation according to the individual needs ofguests
- Appropriately arrange and confirmrecreational dining and / or business activities for both inside andoutside the property
- Promptly answer phonesusing a positive and articulate speaking voice with proper verbaletiquette
- Keep detailed and accurate records ofall guest interactions and requests through daily computer and / orpaperwork and log sheets
- Handle guest mail andsmall packages leaving messages whennecessary
- Constant upkeep of all desk resourcesand keeping desk organized and clean
- Update allinformation at desk to keep current and up to date includingrevising disks and master copies as well as informing fellowConcierges through the Diary Flyers and Announcements and MemoBook
- Resolve guest challenges conductingthorough research to develop the most effective solution for theguest
- Listen and extend assistance in order toresolve challenges quickly and efficiently using experiencedjudgment and discretion
- Ability to effectivelydeal with internal and external guests some of whom may requirehigh levels of patience tact and diplomacy in an effort to diffuseanger and / or collect accurate information to resolvechallenges
- Ability to suggest a wide variety oflocal and statewide attractions for guest entertainment as well asability to give accurate and cleardirections
- Hearing and visual ability toobserve and detect signs of emergencysituations.
- Strong judgment skills and theability to prioritize many requests

Qualifications :
- Previouscustomer related experience an asset
- Mustpossess a professional presentation
- Mustpossess outstanding guest services skills and sophisticated verbal& written communication skills
- Abilityto listen to speak and write English effectively andclearly
- Ability to accurately access and inputinformation using a moderately complex computersystem
- Computer literate in Microsoft Windowapplications an asset
- Strong interpersonal andproblem solving abilities
- Highly responsible& reliable
- Ability to work well underpressure in a fast paced environment
- Ability towork cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of ateam
- Ability to focus attention on guest needsremaining calm and courteous at alltimes
