Job Description

Oncology inpatient pharmacists provide admission medication reconciliations, review and coordinate discharge medications (i.

e. growth factor, oral chemotherapy), coordinate all chemotherapy orders, verification, preparation, and administration, provide continuous monitoring for chemotherapy toxicity and necessary dosage adjustments, provide patient teachings for oral chemotherapy agents or supportive care, complete all drug-specific therapeutic drug monitoring, as well as other miscellaneous needs of the inpatient service.

Additionally, this pharmacist provides pediatric on-call service coverage.

Additional Job Description

Minimum Training and Education : Doctor of Pharmacy or a Bachelor's degree in pharmacy. Completion of a pharmacy residency preferred.

Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations : Licensed as a Registered Pharmacist by the South Carolina Board of Pharmacy.

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR / AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
