Waterway is seeking an Associate Financial Planner with 3-5 years of industry experience. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative team setting and is passionate about contributing to the client experience.
This role will initially involve learning the firm’s processes, gaining a deep understanding of account management, financial planning, and investment philosophy.
We are looking for a self-starter who is detail-oriented, hardworking, and eager to learn.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze materials for client meetings
- Attend client meetings, document key discussions, and actively participate
- Execute follow-up actions from client meetings promptly and accurately
- Support the onboarding process for new clients
- Confidently provide financial planning advice
- Assist and collaborate with other planners as needed
- Manage client calls and address service-related requests
- Coordinate interactions with custodians
- Communicate with external professional service providers

Experience and Education
- 3-5+ years of industry experience, actively working towards CFP® certification
- Strong organizational skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related business field
Preferred Skills
- Experience with eMoney, Fidelity, Schwab, Morningstar, and Salentica-Elements is a plus
