They are looking for an Industrial Mechanic who will be responsible for ensuring and maintaining peak operation of on-site machinery and mechanical equipment.
The Industrial Mechanic should be skilled in reading and following diagrams, operations manuals, and engineering specifications to successfully troubleshoot any production machinery malfunctions.
This role is a rotating swing shift that will require lots of flexibility due to assigned shift varying weekly. Must be available to work 6-day work weeks with mandated overtime.
Rotating shifts include :
- Days : 7am-3pm
- Afternoons : 3pm-11pm
- Nights : 11pm-7am.

Focus :
- Determine source of machine issues through observation, testing, and measurements.
- Leverage power tools, hoists, etc. to perform repairs including dismantling devices as needed.
- Change and adjust functional parts of devices based on established dimensional requirements.
- Minimize operation downtimes by communicating preventative maintenance schedules with appropriate teams.
- Perform mechanical repairs as needed with machine shop equipment, instrumentation, and / or welding.
- Anticipate equipment, parts, and supplies needs by maintaining accurate and up-to-date inventory and order backlog.
- Collect, analyze, and report maintenance trends, presenting findings to teams and leadership.
- Maintain and promote a safe working environment by adhering to company, state, and federal regulations.
Skill Set :
- 1+ years of experience in a heavy manufacturing environment preferred.
- Must possess apprenticeship / journeyman training or card, and basic mechanic tools.
- Proficiency in interpreting schematics and installing and maintaining various production equipment.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and regulations.
- Union experience okay, this role is protected under a CBA.
- Strong collaboration, planning, and communication skills.
- Reliable and consistent on-site attendance.
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screenings.
- Must have the flexibility to work a rotating swing shift (6 days per week with mandated OT). Rotating shifts include 7am-3pm;
3pm-11pm; and 11pm-7am.
