Work Schedule : Monday through Friday. Must be flexible to work overtime, nights, and weekends if needed.

Job Duties & Responsibilities :

• Ensures systems and processes are in place to drive safety, quality, and environmental performance by the workgroup
• Clearly communicates goals around operating performance while assigning responsibility for tasks and decisions, setting clear objectives and measuring, monitoring processes, progress, and results
• Has direct participation in safety meetings and overall training initiatives to model appropriate behavior for our field employees
• Performs safety observations in the field to establish high visibility with employees and the customer
• Supports field employees with performance problems and helps establish effective corrective actions
• Ensures positive recognition is occurring for good performance and personally participate in recognition events where possible
• Provides one-on-one and group coaching to field employees and provides support and input to peers on the team
• Conducts inspections and general repairs of tank / hopper cars

Job Qualifications / Skills / Abilities :

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience and or training
• Knowledge of AAR ,FRA and Railinc maintenance standards
• Current Welding Certification, Current NDT Certification : Bubble leak test II , Visual / Weld Inspection II
• Air Brake Certification (manual / automatic )
• Currently has training : VS I Replacement of service equipment, VS-II Valve rebuild
• Familiar with incoming inspections of railcar parts and materials
• 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.
• Stable work history with good references from past employers
• Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check
• PSC is a veteran-friendly company. Previous military experience and proven ability to follow procedures is a plus
