POSITION : Speech Language Pathologist - Leonard Kirtz School
FULL -TIME AND PART -TIME AVAILABLE
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
include but not limited to the following) :
Must hold School Speech-Language Pathologist certificate / license, as required by the Ohio Department of Education.
DUTIES (include but not limited to the following) :
- Conduct evaluation and treatment of students with speech and language disorders.
- Provide evaluation and treatment for swallowing and eating difficulties.
- Plan and implement goals based on assessments.
- Provide speech and language assessments and hearing information as needed for the Evaluation Team Report (ETR). Develop and implement goals based on assessments.
- Implement IEPs in collaboration with team members. Provide direction and training to intervention specialists, assistants, therapists, family and community members.
- Develop an individualized communication system. Evaluate use and access of adaptive communication devices in collaboration with team members.
- Document student progress. Evaluate students' progress quarterly and attend parents' conferences.
- Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity & contributing to an inclusive working environment.
- Ability to engage others with understanding & empathy.
SALARY : as per CBA
HOURS : Full time : 35 hour week, flexible and variable
Normally 8 : 30 am - 3 : 30 pm, Monday-Friday)
Part time : 21 hour work week, 3 days a week
