Job Details
Our legal firm is seeking a dynamic and experienced Paralegal with a focus in Corporate Litigation.
This is an exceptional opportunity to contribute to a high-performing team that is focused on providing top-tier legal services in the areas of entertainment, corporate litigation, intellectual property, transactions, mergers, acquisitions, and the cannabis industry.
The successful candidate will be proficient in using Clio, a cloud-based legal technology, and have a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role.
Responsibilities :
- Assist attorneys with all aspects of corporate transactions, including preparing legal documents, conducting research, and managing case files.
- Act as a liaison between the legal team and clients, ensuring smooth communication and efficient handling of legal matters.
- Coordinate and manage due diligence for transactions, mergers, and acquisitions.
- Assist in the preparation and filing of legal documents related to intellectual property rights and entertainment law.
- Stay abreast of current laws, rulings, and regulations in the corporate sectors.
- Organize and maintain detailed records and files.
- Use Clio software for case management, time tracking, and billing.
- Assist in preparing for trials, including drafting pleadings and discovery, and organizing exhibits.
Qualifications :
- A minimum of 5 years of paralegal experience, with a focus on corporate litigation.
- A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university. A certificate from an ABA-approved paralegal program is desirable.
- Experience in entertainment law, corporate litigation, intellectual property, transactions, mergers, acquisitions, and the cannabis industry is a plus.
- Proficiency in using Clio or similar legal case management software.
- Strong understanding of legal terminology, state and federal court procedures, and corporate governance.
- Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, work well under pressure, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of professionalism and confidentiality.
