Technical Writer

We are hiring for an IT and Cybersecurity Technical Writer to join our client’s team in Orlando. My client is a well-known, award-winning cybersecurity firm that protects businesses throughout the United States.

In this role, you will be responsible for collaborating with subject-matter experts to create and produce technical marketing collateral and material.

Compensation is ranging between $60-100k plus a 25% annual bonus. This is a full-time position that will be working in-person at the Orlando office (we are not open to this being a remote position).

The Technical Marketing Writer is responsible for, but not limited to :

• Writes about technical subjects for technical and nontechnical audiences.
• Creates, updates, edits, and proofreads written materials such as case studies, whitepapers, eBooks, product manuals, user manuals, how-to guides, and FAQs.
• Monitors and researches cybersecurity industry; i.e. zero-day vulnerabilities, government compliance, software vendor comparisons, and partner requests.
• Creates scripts for video tutorials, overviews, presentations and ads.
• Tests and updates existing documentation.
• Adheres to and updates in-house style guide.
• Creates infographics and screenshot markups.
• Writes, edits, and update User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI) copy.
• Creates and builds out user assistance infrastructure, including how-to sections, FAQs, and Help sections.
• Works closely with subject-matter experts, engineers, developers, and marketing team.
• Serves as proofreader for marketing department work.

Qualifications :

• Minimum of 2 3 years in technical content development.
• Experience in cybersecurity or information technology industry, preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related field, preferred
• Ability to understand and accurately translate technical information for a general audience
• Knowledge of zero trust security framework, a plus
• Excellent problem-solving ability and attention to detail
• Ability to effectively use analytics to improve user-facing content
