We are looking for strong, detail oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to maintain client accounts in client-billing software and communicate with clients for collection of delinquent accounts and post payments specifically for our self pay clients.
This position may also verify insurance benefits (VOB's) and also prepare client and insurance bills .
Accounts Receivable Essential Responsibilities include :
- Prepare monthly client billing, then mail / email bills and send receipts as requested.
- Record cash receipts items (payments), made in all locations into accounting record system.
- Post all client payments (including online, mail, and calls) into our integrated EHR system.
- Post other Program payments received monthly.
- Adjust client accounts when needed.
- Respond to client statement inquiries promptly and assist clients and family members in understanding their bills.
- Process and keep up to date our credit card payments for client accounts.
- Bill Residential clients and maintain up to date and accurate reporting.
- Works with Behavioral Health team on financial hardship client accounts.
- Bill and maintain accounts for our Subsidy funded clients.
Requirements
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or GED.
- 2-3 years accounts receivable experience.
- Ability to ensure confidentiality of privileged information.
- Problem-solving and analytical ability to work with detailed financial data.
- Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to communicate with various employees throughout the organization.
- Maintain adherence to all company policies and procedures, including agency safety requirements.
- Ability to effectively and professionally work with other personnel inside the agency.
- Availability to work the days and hours to perform all assigned responsibilities and tasks.
- Responsible for meeting all performance requirements and work deadlines.
- Comfortable and familiar with the cultural needs of a Jewish population.
