Associate Marketing Manager - Social Media Focus

The Associate Marketing Manager at Warrior Sports plays a pivotal role in shaping the brand's presence and driving its breakthrough ethos.
This position is designed for a social media maestro who thrives on innovation and engagement. Reporting to the Hockey Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for crafting and executing strategic marketing tactics that elevate brand awareness and sales for Warrior Hockey.
Your role will encompass leading social media strategies, acting as a community manager, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver compelling content and campaigns.
Responsibilities :
- Market Research : Conduct in-depth market research to uncover consumer trends and insights, informing dynamic marketing strategies.
- Dealer Launch Kits : Lead the creation and management of launch kits to support all product releases.
- Dealer Requests : Field and fulfill requests from dealers efficiently.
- Campaign Implementation : Collaborate with product managers, sales, and creative services to design and execute impactful marketing campaigns.
- Partnership Fulfillment : Ensure timely and accurate delivery of assets and information to fulfill Warrior's obligations with partners.
- Key Account Initiatives : Assist in managing key account marketing initiatives, delivering launch assets, and providing comprehensive marketing information.
- Social Media Management : Oversee Warrior Sports' social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube) and develop strategies aligned with company goals.
- Paid Social Campaigns : Develop and implement paid social media campaigns to boost brand awareness and drive traffic to warrior.

- Content Calendars : Create and maintain social media content calendars to support internal and dealer launches.
- Trend Monitoring : Stay ahead of social media trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.
- Performance Reporting : Provide regular performance reports with actionable insights to optimize engagement and reach.
Characteristics :
- Project Management : Skilled in communicating with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely delivery of effective creative assets.
- Brand Voice Expert : Comfortable pushing boundaries and creating edgy, captivating content for the target teen audience.
- Integration : Collaborate closely with the creative team (in-house and agency) to produce custom images and elements that align with overarching strategies.
- Content Management : Master at juggling content from multiple sources, including endorsed athletes, creative agencies, and other content creators, while managing multiple content calendars.
- Community Engagement : Vigilantly manage social communities, address issues promptly, and respond appropriately in a branded manner.
- Platform Proficiency : Experienced with all major social media platforms (Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook). Paid social experience is a plus but not required.
Qualifications :
- 2-4 years of marketing or social media experience, preferably in the sports or sporting goods industry.
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Deep knowledge and passion for hockey.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and a strong sense of ownership.
- In-depth understanding of social media platforms and their respective user bases, with the ability to deploy each platform effectively in different brand scenarios.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Technologically savvy and quick to adopt new tools.
- Basic understanding of SEO principles and how social media content impacts Google page rank.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud Apps.
- Prior experience in sports (working or playing) is a plus but not required.
Location :
This position is based in our Metro Detroit office. Candidates must be located within the Metro Detroit area and be willing to travel occasionally, both domestically and internationally.
