What You’ll Do
Review tax returns and K-1s from external tax preparer for accuracy and completenessAssist in compliance with 1031x structuring and REIT complianceConduct in-depth research on real estate tax laws, regulations, and rulings to guarantee accurate tax filingsCollaborate with internal teams to design and implement tax strategies related to 1031x and other tax structuring and processesCommunicate effectively with clients to obtain necessary tax information and address tax-related inquiries promptlyIdentify opportunities for process enhancements within the tax compliance and 1031x structuring realmStay abreast of changes in real estate tax laws and regulations, providing guidance to the team as neededWho You Are
Bachelor's degree in Accounting2-4 years of proven experience in tax preparation or accounting, preferably in the real estate sectorThorough knowledge of federal and state real estate tax lawsProficient in the use of tax software and MS Office SuiteStrong analytical abilities and problem-solving skillsMeticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracyStrong interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teamsAbility to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlinesCPA certification or demonstrated progress towards achieving CPA statusFamiliarity with tax research tools specialized for real estate tax mattersExperience in developing tax planning strategies tailored to real estate transactionsWe are an equal opportunity employer.
