A manufacturing company in Illinois is actively seeking a dedicated and hardworking professional to join their staff as their new Accounting Clerk.
In this role, the Accounting Clerk will oversee all accounting activities for stores within the client's group.
Responsibilities
The Accounting Clerk will :
- Interact with vendors to resolve outstanding issues
- Support GVP’s, TSM’s, Controller, VP of Finance with vendor-related issues
- Respond to vendor inquiries
- Respond to internal inquiries regarding vendor accounts
- Receive and code all incoming invoices as appropriate
- Where appropriate obtain proper approval and backup before processing invoices for payment
- Ensure all invoices are received and processed within any given month
- Process all fuel transactions
- Enter invoices in general ledger with appropriate general ledger account coding and due date
- Support extended Finance team and other functional areas as required / requested by the Controller or VP of Finance
