As a Materials and Logistics Manager on our growing team, you are contributing to the success of the company by overseeing the planning, procurement, storage, control, and distribution of materials and products according to company needs and customer requirements.

Supervisory Responsibilities :

  • Hires and trains departmental employees and supervisors.
  • Oversees the daily workflow of the purchasing, inventory control, and distribution teams including receiving, storing, and shipping staff.
  • Manages and trains supervisors regarding Inventory, Purchasing, and Logistics.
  • Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.

Duties / Responsibilities :

  • Develop and implement strategies for the procurement, storage, and distribution of materials.
  • Manage inventory levels to ensure availability of materials while minimizing excess stock.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, and internal departments to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Oversee the logistics operations, including transportation and warehousing.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Lead and mentor a team of logistics and materials professionals.
  • Develop and manage budgets for materials and logistics operations.
  • Implement and maintain effective systems for tracking and reporting on materials and logistics activities.
  • Utilize Lean manufacturing methodologies to continuously improve processes and drive cost reductions.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills / Abilities :

  • Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and inventory management systems & MS Office Suite.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Education and Experience :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in materials management and logistics.

Physical Requirements :

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Prolonged periods standing and walking.
  • Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach inventory for counting purposes.
  • Must be able to visually inspect inventory.
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times.

Additional Job Information :

  • Wage Expectations : $85,000 - $125,000 per year.
  • Pay : This is an exempt, salary position and employees are paid on a bi-weekly basis.
  • Typical Schedule : Five (5) Eight (8) hour days M-F.
  • Location : On Site 20812 Broadway Ave; Snohomish, WA 98296.
  • Travel : Very minimal, approximately 5% of the time.
  • Employees are eligible on the 1st of the month following the completion of 60 days of employment for :
  • Medical : OSW applies a contribution of 82% of the EE Only Base PPO premium to all plans and coverage levels and pays 25% of the dependent portion of the premium (based on the Base PPO Premiums) for the Spouse, Child, and Family coverage levels.
  • Dental, Vision : In 2024 : OSW applies a contribution of 25% of the EE Only Base premium to all plans and coverage levels.
  • Company Paid Life Insurance Policy for each full-time employee in the amount of $30,000.00.
  • Voluntary Life Insurance for Employees, their spouse (or domestic partner), and their children.
  • Flexible Spending Accounts for Health-related expenses as well as Dependent Care related expenses.
  • Aflac.
  • Employees are eligible for the following benefits as of their first day of employment :
  • 401(k) with partial company match.
  • 100% vested immediately.
  • Upon the Completion of 90 days employees are eligible for :
  • PTO.
  • 9 Paid Holidays.
