A public accounting firm in NYC is seeking a Tax Manager for its Film and Television Production / Intellectual Property practice area.
This is a unique opportunity to join a well-renowned firm across the entertainment industry in a position that is a partner-track opportunity for the right applicant.
Responsibilities :
The Tax Manager will :
- Review entity-level and individual income tax returns, payroll tax returns, sales tax returns and other deliverables, serving as a primary service contact in conjunction with the partner-in-charge
- Act as a liaison between clients and government tax authorities to answer questions and resolve potential discrepancies
- Oversee a team of three to four other tax professionals in administering services to the clients within the practice area
- Stay current on changes in relevant tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and maximize client savings
- Participate in Firm recruiting efforts and in initiatives to increase staff retention
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications :
- 5+ years of Tax experience within a Public Accounting
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and / or Taxation
- Microsoft Excel proficient
- Solid analytical, mathematical, and research skills
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
Desired Skills :
- CPA or parts passed and / or EA certification
- Interest in the Entertainment industry
