Description
Mazak Project Managers orchestrate all post sales order activities for machines and the accessories, including automation components, purchased with the equipment, through assembly, post assembly acceptance, shipment, installation, final acceptance at customers facility, and any follow up issues to be performed afterward.
Project Engineering / Management is an adjunct of Mazak Sales Engineering Department. This position works out the National Technology Center located in Florence, KY.
Scope and Responsibilities :
Essential duties include, but are not limited to the following :
- Communicate with end users, vendors, and associated suppliers to assist in the development of technical specifications / concepts for existing or pending operations / projects.
- Prepare engineering requests and initiate inquires to vendors for existing or pending quotation purposes.
- Assist sales and engineering teams in the development and preparation of technical documentation for existing or pending projects
- Perform specification reviews / responses in support of existing or pending projects.
- Travel to meet with end users / vendors / and support entities when needed in support of existing or pending projects.
- Prepares and maintain project timelines.
- Assists in the scheduling of service support and training activities.

Education / Certification :
- A two-year degree with 5+ in related role with machine tool or project management experience is required.
- A four-year technical degree is preferred.
Skills :
- Proven working experience as a Project Manager
- CNC Machine tool knowledge is highly desirable
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
- Client facing and internal communication skills are a must
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- PMP / PRINCE II certification is a plus
