DNV Forecaster is seeking a Senior Sales Executive to join its global operations.
Short term forecasting is a pivotal part of the energy transition. Accurate generation and demand forecasts for the coming hours and days enable the integration of renewables into power grids and markets on a large scale.

As a senior sales executive , you will be an integral part of a small global team, providing highly accurate and reliable forecasting services for energy traders, grid regulators, and plant operators.
Your role will involve identifying and nurturing both inbound and outbound business opportunities, contributing to our growth targets and the expansion of our customer base.

This role will report to the Global Sales Manager and be based in one of our North American DNV offices. It presents a dynamic hybrid schedule, with employees typically spending three days per week working from either a DNV office or client location / site.

What You’ll Do
- Understand and demonstrate the team’s product or service to the customer, ., performing effective online demos to prospective customers
- Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails
- Generate proposals focused on customer requirements and ensure proposals are delivered at the highest quality
- Assist with scoping work for customers and ensure timely follow-up to inquiries
- Build relationships with customers to ensure services meet their requirements
- Up-sell forecasting opportunities and assist with the coordination of other teams for cross-selling opportunities
- Research accounts, identify key players, and generate interest
- Maintain and expand database of prospects within assigned territory
- Set and meet sales goals and objectives set by leadership
- Assist with the commercial and marketing aspects of the business, such as workshops and meetings to discuss and promote DNV's forecasting services

Benefits vary based on position, tenure, location, and employee election
For California, Washington, New York : DNV provides a reasonable range of compensation for this role. The actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors, including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location.
For the states of California, Washington, New York Washington only, the range of starting pay for this role is $50,000.00 - $70,000.00

What Is Required
- Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Management, or other degrees with relevant sales experience or other proven inside sales experience
- Effective time management skills - the position requires handling multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Three to five years of experience in the industry
- Demonstrated B2B sales experience of closing and winning new customers
- Experience selling SaaS / DaaS products
- Strong written and verbal English language communication skills
- Passion for the energy transition
- Proficient with corporate productivity and web presentation tools
- Experience working with Salesforce or similar CRM
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills

What Is Preferred
- Experience in renewable energy, power forecasting, or other relevant and equivalent technical areas
- Experience with digital subscription services
