The Enterprise Content Strategist will partner with and support content creators, content product managers, channel managers and Church departments as they prepare content for channels and channels for content.
As part of the channels division, they will acquire a deep understanding of all digital channel strategies and be able to communicate clearly how those strategies impact content development and deployment.
Church enterprise content strategists work in a highly collaborative environment across Church departments to consult, guide, and encourage content sponsors as they :
- identify primary, secondary, and tertiary target audiences
- conduct content inventories and analysis
- create research plans and engage with data
- set clear content objectives, anticipated outcomes, and KPIs
- work with internal stakeholders to consolidate efforts and standardize output
- create marketing and awareness plans
- develop and implement content archive & consolidation plans
- develop messaging briefs and digital copy
This position is part of the Church’s enthusiastic digital channel content strategy team with lots of room to learn, grow, and positively influence the strategic creation of Church content.
As an integral part of the Church Communication Department, you will share your work through masterful presentations, solid knowledge of strategic content planning, and natural ability to lead disparate groups of people toward a shared goal.

Responsibilities & Duties :
- Partner with content product managers and cross-departmental committees to guide and influence content strategy efforts from ideation to execution.
- Facilitate cross-departmental trainings and workshops on content strategy processes and tools.
- Develop close working relationships with all church channel product managers and consult with them on best practices for content on their channels.
- Facilitate internal stakeholder communication plans including in-depth listening sessions, project updates, and high-level executive presentations to councils and leadership.
- Manage the execution of content inventories and audits, messaging briefs, content briefs, content strategy documentation, and channel solutions recommendations.
- Act as a liaison for department stakeholders with Church Communications and all channel product managers
- Propose and implement additional content strategy best practices as part of a collaborative team of professionals.
- Manage content strategy intake meetings with stakeholders and maintain our current workflow and work planning documentation .
- Educate partners and stakeholders on content strategy best practices while adding value to their current efforts.
- Act as a content strategy liaison to the area communications team.
Qualifications :
- This position requires a bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, business, English or a related field and 5-7 years of related experience.
- A master's degree and 5 years of related experience is preferred.
- An industry track record of successful project execution is imperative.
- Must have verifiable experience : developing and executing strategic content plans for digital channels, communicating effectively and collaboratively with team members and internal clients, conducting deep data analysis and effectively presenting insights, defining and documenting work processes, and writing for specific audiences.
