Job Summary : The Restaurant Shift Leader is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant during their designated shift.
They ensure that the restaurant runs smoothly, maintains excellent customer service, and upholds food quality and safety standards.
The Shift Leader also supervises, training the front of the house and supports the restaurant staff.

2. Customer Service :

- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly and effectively.
- Ensure that customers have a positive dining experience.
3. Operational Management :
- Open and close the restaurant as per scheduled shifts.
- Ensure that all equipment and facilities are in good working order.
- Monitor inventory levels and report shortages to management.
- Oversee food preparation, presentation, and quality to meet company standards.
- Enforce health and safety regulations, including food safety and sanitation practices.
4. Staff Supervision :
- Train, mentor, and coach staff members.
- Schedule and assign shifts to employees, considering labor budgets.
- Monitor employee performance and provide feedback.
- Address staffing issues and resolve conflicts as necessary.
5. Cash Handling :
- Handle cash transactions accurately and securely.
- Prepare cash registers at the beginning of the shift and reconcile them at the end.
- Ensure that cash-handling procedures are followed by all staff.
6. Reporting :
- Maintain shift logs, including sales, inventory, and incidents.
- Report any unusual incidents or issues to upper management.
- Provide feedback and suggestions for improving restaurant operations.
