Position Summary

Coordinate the timely, efficient and accurate distribution of materials, maintaining accurate finished goods inventories, minimizing freight costs and invoicing shipments to the customer.

Pay Rate : $19.25

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for the timely and orderly processing of all customer orders from the time it becomes available for shipment until it actually ships Schedule orders to efficiently utilize shipping personnel switcher available floor space and equipment Ensure shipments meet customer scheduled ship dates
• Ensure any special shipping handling or routing instructions are provided Work closely with Customer Service to ensure every effort is made to ship emergency or priority orders
• Responsible for the efficient and economic load planning and shipment of freight Group orders according to geographic destination and weight to ensure most economic mode of transportation is scheduled
• Assist with troubleshooting shipping problems Modifies processes and procedures where possible to optimize efficiency
• Schedule appropriate number and type of trailers needed to transport planned loads Maximize trailer loads Must be familiar with product types pallet sizes types of trailers and all available modes of transportation and their requirements Prepare and process all shipping documents

Requirements

Education

High school or secondary degree

Requirements

3 5 years experience

Experience with SAP Lotus Notes and Microsoft Office software desired

Exceptional verbal communication skills

Excellent organizational and multitasking skills

Ability to adapt to change and handle change easily

Strong empathy for customers is a requirement

Excellent problem-solving skills and reasoning abilities to resolve customer invoice issues

Must be team oriented
