Join our client in Boston, MA, as a Finance Associate, overseeing accounting and reporting for Senior Debt funds. You'll collaborate with key teams to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance, and manage fund performance and daily operations.
Compensation : $100,000 - $115,000 / year + bonus
Location : Boston, MA
Schedule : Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
Responsibilities as the Finance Associate :
- Fund Accounting : Oversee all accounting, reporting, and compliance of Senior Debt funds.
- Team Leadership : Mentor and develop junior team members to ensure consistent performance.
- Fund Performance : Calculate fund returns, prepare MD&A, and communicate performance to senior management and Investor Relations.
- Capital Distributions : Prepare and review capital calls and distributions for Private Debt funds.
- Cash Management : Manage daily cash reconciliation and maintain general ledger and portfolio accounting systems.
- Compliance : Work closely with external auditors for year-end financials and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
Qualifications for the Finance Associate :
- Education : Master’s degree in Accounting required.
- Experience : 3+ years of Financial Reporting experience required (Big 4, SEC work, and private equity / debt valuation preferred).
- Certification : CPA preferred.
- Skills : Strong GAAP reporting, expert in Microsoft Office, with Investran, WSO, or Advent Geneva preferred.
- Abilities : Leadership, strong organization and communication, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic setting.
