Description

One full-time clinical faculty position at the Assistant / Associate Professor level in the Department of Neurological Surgery for a Board Certified or Board Eligible neurosurgeon (ABNS, AOA, RCPSC).

The position entails joining a multidisciplinary academic neurosurgery practice, including elective practice and shared neurosurgical trauma call at a Level One Trauma Center.

The department is comprised of neurosurgeons, neurosurgical residents, spine physiatrists, neurointensivists, and specially trained Advanced Practice Providers in an academic setting with research opportunities.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications : MD, DO, MD / PhD (or foreign equivalent). Board Eligible / Board Certified by ABNS, AOA or RCPSC in Neurosurgery.

Must have New York State medical license or be eligible for one.

Preferred Qualifications : Fellowship training or additional specialized training in Neurosurgical Oncology, Spine Neurosurgery, and / or Pediatric Neurosurgery.

Possession of the skills necessary to cover pediatric emergencies. Evidence of interest in clinical or basic research.
