Christian Service Director / Theology Teacher

Damien High School seeks a Christian Service Director and Theology teacher for the 2024-25 school year. In addition to coordinating the school’s Christian Service program, this position also includes teaching sections of Theology (4-5 sections).

• Exhibit a passion for Christian Service and a desire to mentor and guide students as they engage in and reflect upon Christian Service in our local communities.
• Create an environment in the classroom and in all areas of co-curricular responsibility that nurtures the development of the whole student.
• Show a willingness to engage students to foster a student-centered learning environment.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to integrate Christian Service into meaningful student learning experiences.
• Possess excellent organizational skills in facilitating and sharing Christian Service opportunities and documenting student Christian service and reflections.

Job Responsibilities :

• Organize and share Christian Service opportunities with students.
• Document and track student service and reflections in Damien’s Christian Service app (MobileServe)
• Facilitate student Christian service projects on campus and off campus with community partners.
• Teach 4-5 sections of Theology during the 2024-25 school year.

Requirements

Qualifications : Undergraduate and / or graduate degree in Theology & Religious Studies; background in Catholic faith formation and spiritual development, experience in Catholic education.

Wage Range

The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range.

We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
