Chief Development Officer or Senior Director of Development (based on experience)

Salary : $120,000 to $140,000 per year, with potential flexibility based on experience
Terrific senior level fundraising position with a social and human services nonprofit in Palm Beach County. The position will be either a Chief Development Officer (CDO) or Senior Director of Development, based on experience.
The position will oversee fundraising initiatives, including the design, implementation and management of the organization's fundraising strategy.
The CDO / Senior Director will actively manage the full lifecycle of fundraising for a portfolio of major and planned gift donors and prospects.
The role will manage and mentor two direct reports, as well as oversee recruitment for future hiring. Candidates should have approximately 7+ years of experience for the Senior Director role and 10+ years of experience, including time in a senior management role, for the CDO role.
Candidates should have a demonstrated track record of securing major and planned gifts. Bachelor's degree is required, Master's degree is a plus.
Responsibilities (level of involvement will vary depending upon experience) :
- Support the fundraising team to successfully cultivate, steward, and solicit donors and prospects
- Provide moves management for a portfolio of high-level major and planned gifts donors (research, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship)
- Collaboration with the executive management team and Board to design and implement fundraising strategies and organization goals
- Develop and launch a robust planned giving program
- Design and / or enhance fundraising strategies using various tools, including data analytics and donor segmentation
- Oversee various fundraising initiatives, including capital and annual campaigns
- Manage and participate in fundraising events
- Recruit, train and manage the Development team; oversee external contractors (PR and marketing)
Qualifications :
- Approximately 7+ (Senior Director) or 10+ (CDO) years of relevant fundraising experience
- Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree is a plus
- Demonstrated track record of securing major and planned gifts (5-figures and above)
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills
- Strong management skills with the ability to build effective teams
- Experience with DonorPerfect or similar CRM
