About The Role
Purpose
This role is based in the Management Accounting Team as part of a larger finance team. As the Accounts Payable Controller your key responsibility is to manage from end to end the day-to-day operational AP process across all the entities of the group.
Responsibilities
- Full responsibility for the purchase ledgers.
- Manage various Accounts Payable inboxes.
- Maintain bank mandates and reconcile multiples bank accounts.
- Maintain the Accounts Payable system (KEFRON and SunSystems).
- Strengthen internal control over expenditures procedures.
- Process employee expenses & corporate credit cards.
- Process supplier payment runs for various entities.
- Ad-hoc payments and general assistance to the wider finance team.
- Assist with month-end management accounts processes.
- Assist with financial audits.
- While not directly interacting with customers, your actions should align with upholding the FCA's Consumer Duty principles, thereby contributing to fair and beneficial outcomes for our clients.
About You
Skills & Knowledge
- Previous relevant experience in a similar role essential.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Ability to organise a busy and varied workload, remain calm under pressure, and proactive in approach to tasks.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
