This Position :
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our product team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between product management and engineering, ensuring that product requirements are clearly understood and implemented effectively.
The work requires making decisions that support company guidelines authoritatively and quickly. This role involves thorough requirements analysis, effective communication between teams, issue triaging, and rigorous testing.
The Expectation :
- Provide support during the product development lifecycle, including requirements, testing, release, and implementation phases
- Conduct detailed requirements analysis to understand business needs and translate them into technical specifications
- Work closely with Product Owners, Engineering, and QA teams to ensure consistent communication, alignment, and clarify of requirements
- Facilitate meetings and discussions to gather requirements, clarify objectives, and resolve any ambiguities
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation including user stories, use cases, and workflow diagrams
- Analyze data to support decision-making and identify trends or patterns
- Prioritize and manage the product backlog in collaboration with the Product Owner
- Act as a liaison between the support teams and Product & Engineering, triaging and prioritizing issues reported by stakeholders, ensuring timely resolution by the engineering team
- Collaborate closely with QA engineers to support end-to-end testing and validation of new features and fixes
- Assist with defining test cases, validating test results against requirements, and ensuring the final product meets business needs and quality standards.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and work with teams to implement best practices
- Develop and execute test plans and test cases to ensure the quality and functionality of the product
- Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) and gather feedback to ensure the product meets business needs
- Collect and analyze feedback to ensure successful product delivery and adoption
- Monitor and report on project progress, providing regular updates to stakeholders
The successful ROLE NAME will have :
Experience & Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in a product development environment
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively between technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Authoritative, quick decision making skills within defined span of control; based on accepted quality standards, policies and procedures
- Experience with requirements gathering, documentation, and management
- Proficiency in using project management and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Trello)
- Experience in writing and executing test plans and test cases
- High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Drive, determination and a self-disciplined approach to achieving results
Preferred Skills
- Experience working in a cross-functional team environment
- Knowledge of UX / UI principles and best practices
- Certification in business analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) is a plus
Success Metrics :
Requirements Accuracy : Ensure that technical specifications derived from business needs are implemented without requiring significant revisions.
Issue Resolution : Achieve timely resolution rates for issues triaged and prioritized by the Business Analyst within the engineering team.
Documentation Quality : Maintain accuracy and completion rates for user stories, use cases, and workflow diagrams, validated through peer reviews and stakeholder feedback.
UAT Effectiveness : Secure approval rates on user acceptance testing (UAT) feedback, confirming that the product meets business needs and quality standards.

Work Location and Arrangement :
gWorks is a hybrid work environment, and preference will be given to candidates who are local to the Omaha, Nebraska area.
However, highly qualified candidates who reside outside of the local area and are able to work remotely will also be considered.
- For Omaha-Based Candidates : A hybrid work model, balancing remote work with in-office collaboration on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
- For Remote Candidates : Full support for remote work from any US location.
