JOBSUMMARY
Thisposition is responsible for the oversight of Operations financialforecasting and reporting of a multi-site Region. Responsiblefor providing insight and analysis of financial operating results.
Identifies trends and provides recommendations for variousprofitability drivers, involving operations expense management,with a direct focus on inventoryshrinkage.
The primary work schedule is Monday throughFriday, with extended hours as business needs arise. This role canbe performed at our Sysco Lincoln, NE, or Sysco Olathe, KS,offices.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Determinethe key drivers of operations expense variances versus plan andlast year's results.
- Identify underperformingcustomers and make recommendations to driveprofitability.
- Provide specific analysis as tothe key drivers of Operational expenses variances to plan and lastyear.
- Participate in the recruiting, trainingand management of the Inventory ControlManager
- Participate in the recruiting, trainingand management of the finance associate andcashier
- Work with the Inventory team toIdentify opportunities to reduce operational and non-operationalshrink.
- Quantify the financial impact of keyoperational cost control initiatives.
- Inconjunction with the Region Vice President Finance will lead theshrink committee by site and for theRegion.
- Assist Region Vice President Financeand Market Vice President Finance with the monthly forecastperformance.
- Ensure overall trends and theimpacts of key initiatives are reflected accurately in theforecast.
- Work with each department to ensurethey understand the overall forecast and how the impact of the keyinitiatives they are responsible for is reflected in theforecast.
- Assist the Region Vice PresidentFinance with the preparation of the Annual Profit Plan (AOP) onoperational expenses andinitiatives.
- Individual must champion and bethe local expert in Sysco's analyticaltoolbox.
- Responsible for the preparation of allcapital investment proposals for theRegion.
Education
- Bachelor'sdegree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or Economicsrequired.
- MBApreferred.
Experience
- Atleast 3 years of financial analyst and / or accounting experiencerequired.
- Prior managerial experiencepreferred.

- Strongverbal and written communication skills.
- Mustbe able to read, write and speakEnglish.
- Analyze data and draw logicalconclusions and recommendations from thedata.
- Ability to lead and direct clericalpositions.
