Seeking Full Time staff BLUESTONE : Bluestone Child & Adolescent Hospital is seeking dynamic healthcare professionals interested in bringing psychiatric care to a new level for children ages 6-17.
Working in a brand new, 12 bed state-of-the-art facility, Bluestone staff will have a unique ability to direct patient care, employ best practices, and join a care network that promotes the best long-term outcomes for patients.
POSITION SUMMARY : The Unit Secretary organizes clerical functions of the nursing unit, including communication, record keeping, logs, and patient information.
In addition, the Unit Secretary notifies the nursing staff and / or charge nurse in a timely manner of pertinent patient information, including physician orders, laboratory or test results, and other pertinent communication.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE : Maintain patients’ written medical record / chart as per policy and procedure. Upload written documentation into patients’ electronic record.
Answer the telephone, deliver messages, sort unopened mail and place in designated boxes. Facilitate patient calls to phone contacts when indicated.
Greet, sign-in, and wand visitors when indicated. Inventory and order hospital supplies when indicated. Monitor and maintain paper forms.
Complete photocopying and faxing as requested. Performs other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS : Education : A minimum of a degree or certificate in medical secretary training or an Associate’s Degree required.
Licensure : None. Skills : Possess effective communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing. Additional languages preferred.
Demonstrate basic computer knowledge for the implementation of patient / client information electronic record keeping. Demonstrate attention to detail.
