Responsibilities

The Shipping Staff are responsible but are not limited to the following :

• Process all retail transactions in the HUB and ensure timely processing of transfers between the warehouse, vendors and store locations
• Perform a variety of transactional and manual tasks involved in maintaining inventory controls to include receiving, classifying, labeling, verifying, scanning, ticketing, packing, tracking and shipping retail merchandise / product
• Receive, check, verify and process incoming merchandise / product and re-distribute to proper locations and / or store destinations
• Inspect and process damages of merchandise / product and RTV (return-to-vendor) charge-backs
• Receive transfers from warehouse and vendors and transport transfers to appropriate store location
• Process buyer specified transfers and order-to-vendor drop shipments
• Scan items to the appropriate inventory destination using the WMS system
• Perform accurate data entry via computer and RF (radio-frequency) hand-held scanners
• Maintain records and documentation of incoming / outgoing shipments and daily inventory transfers
• Assist in the reconciliation of data entry errors, transfer discrepancies and pending transfers
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies
• Transport and transfer merchandise from one area to another in a timely manner
• Conduct physical inventory counts as required
• Handle UPS shipping of boxed merchandise
• Ensure security of all hub equipment and tools
• Assist Route Drivers as a ride-along driver helper as needed
• Ability to work in all areas of the HUB distribution center and perform any necessary job duties as assigned
• Monitor equipment and report equipment failure as instructed

Qualifications

• Shipping / receiving experience and / or prior experience in warehouse inventory control processing
• Basic computer literate skills to enter and retrieve data required
• Working knowledge of material handling equipment (MHE) and radio-frequency (RF) hand-held scanners and other materials necessary
• Knowledge and understanding of all aspects of matching inventory receipts with invoices, purchase orders and UPS Shipping
• Ability to adhere to all safety requirements
• Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and be able to interact with people from all levels of the organization
• Must have a positive attitude and be able to work independently and as well be part of a team
• Must be customer service oriented while working in a fast-paced, time sensitive and deadline driven environment
• Ability to follow instructions, prioritize and multi-task
• Good communication skills and good command of the English language (speak, read, and understand English for purposes of performing necessary job duties)
• Basic math and counting skills
• Must have strong attention to detail, with ability to process merchandise with speed and accuracy
• Maintain a regular, dependable attendance and high level of performance
• Flexibility to work in all areas of production and able to work any shift during peak season is required
• Hours of operation and schedules are subject to change and may require early morning, evenings, weekends, holidays, or late night shifts
• Ability to learn new skills and take on additional job responsibilities as needed

Physical Requirements

• Continuously standing, walking, sitting, reaching and working overhead, climbing, balancing, stooping, bending, kneeling, squatting, stretching, crouching, and crawling
• Frequent use of hands and fingers for grasping, reaching, pulling, and pushing
• Frequent use of ladders and / or lift equipment
• Frequently lifting and / or moving up to 50 pounds or more
