Assurance Advisor, Climate Change and Sustainability Services (CCaSS) - Sustainable Advisory (ESG) (Senior Manager) (Multiple Positions)

Lead clients to understand their most significant sustainability issues, improve performance, and report on their progress and ambitions.

Lead clients to seize generational opportunities, manage emerging risks, reduce costs through the design, and implementation of systems and processes, and improve performance in areas such as climate change, green and sustainable finance, health and safety, human rights, social impact, nonfinancial reporting, and supply chain.

Consult with clients on technical Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) and sustainability topics. Collaborate with partners, managing directors, and clients to influence strategy, balancing risk and client expectations.

Ensure the Engagement team thoroughly understands our clients’ unique needs, ambitions, and expectations. Build relationships with colleagues across multiple service lines to provide seamless integrated service.

Manage performance and identify opportunities to improve our products and processes while providing direction, coaching, and feedback to the staff and senior consultants on the projects.

Lead and direct teams of professionals with diverse skills and backgrounds by providing constructive on-the-job feedback / coaching to team members.

Develop and maintain long-term client relationships and networks. Manage risk in the delivery of quality client services.

Generate and manage new business opportunities.

Full-time employment, Monday Friday, 40 hours per week, 8 : 30 am 5 : 30 pm.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :

Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Engineering, Environmental Science, Economics, Social Sciences, Public Health, Climate Sciences, or a related field and 8 years of related work experience (of which 5 years must be progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience).

Alternatively, will accept a Master’s degree in the same fields and 7 years of related work experience.

  • Must have 5 years of experience providing technical writing skills and advanced risk management services.
  • Must have 5 years of consulting experience with a firm providing ESG services.
  • Must have 5 years of ESG / sustainability experience.
  • Must have 5 years of combined experience with environmental foot printing, lifecycle analysis, sustainable supply chain planning, or carbon market.
  • Must have 4 years of combined experience with ESG reporting such as GRI framework, SASB framework, ESG report writing, ESG metrics assessments (Scope 1, 2, or 3), Risk / Internal Audit / Control design / process mapping, ESG-ERM integration or ESG-IA Integration.
  • Must have 4 years of combined experience with ESG Strategies such as stakeholder engagement, materiality assessment, maturity assessment, goal setting and roadmap development, governance structure, process documentation, life cycle assessment (LCA) or impact measurement (ESG).
  • Must have certification / accreditation or sufficient coursework / experience requirements to obtain certification / accreditation within one year of hire in one of the following : CSSGB (Certified Six Sigma Green Belt);
  • GHG Verifier (Greenhouse Gas Emissions Verification issued by CARB); ISSP-CSP (International Society of Sustainability Professionals-Certified Sustainability Professional);
  • ISSP-SA (International Society of Sustainability Professionals-Sustainability Associate); Sustainability Excellence Associate (SEA);
  • LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design); PE (Professional Engineer); PMP (Project Management Professional);

Global Reporting (GRI); Green building (LEED); Green House Gas (GHG); or Environmental Health and Safety (EHS); or Global Association of Risk Professional (GARP).

  • Requires travel up to 60%, of which 10% may be international, to serve client needs.

The base salary for this job is $192,800.00 per year. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
