Center for Family Guidance, PC is seeking a part-time Nurse Practitioner in Bridgeton, NJ to be available for restraints from 5pm - 8am.
All candidates must be available to respond within one hour to respond to in-person assistance.
Responsibilities
PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS :
- Performs and documents patient evaluation, including taking the patient’s history and conducting a physical examination.
- When necessary, orders patient restraints and conducts post-restraint evaluation with the patient within an hour of the restraint happening.
- Orders and interprets diagnostic tests.
- Writes orders for medical medications and treatments, under guidelines of licensure.
- May perform invasive procedures as necessary.
- Prescribes and monitors patient medications.
- Dictates discharge summaries and transfer orders.
- Maintains and follows patient care protocols.
- Works with members of the healthcare team in educating the patients of their medical care.
- Provides any necessary on call coverage.
- Continually updates clinical knowledge and skills through consultation, formal and informal education and review of literature for the benefit of themselves as well as for the healthcare team.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- A current CPR / BLS card with demonstrated and cognitive skills is required.
- Must possess a Master’s Degree and must have current and valid New Jersey Nurse Practitioner or Advanced Practice Nurse license.
- At least one year experience of providing direct patient care.
- Must have prescriptive authority. (CDS, DEA)
- Live within 1 hour of Bridgeton, NJ
