We are seeking a Payroll Accountant in New Holland, Pennsylvania. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity within a dynamic team.
The Payroll Accountant will be instrumental in managing financial statements, reconciling bank statements, and general ledgers, as well as handling other accounting responsibilities.
Responsibilities :
- Assist in the preparation and management of financial statements
- Perform bank statement and general ledger analysis and reconciliation
- Post journal entries for accrued expenses and revenue
- Record and maintain fixed assets
- Undertake Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Cash Management duties as required
- Conduct payroll recording and reconciliation tasks
- Act as a liaison for vendors to reconcile any billing discrepancies
- Utilize various accounting software systems such as ADP - Financial Services, ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian, Concur, and others for effective job delivery
- Perform auditing and accrual accounting functions as needed
- Handle other tasks assigned within the scope of the role.

- Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
- Experience with ADP - Financial Services
- Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now
- Proficient in Ceridian and Concur software
- Knowledge in 401k - RRSP Administration
- Experience with About Time software
- Understanding of Accounting Functions
- Knowledge in Accrual Accounting
- Experience in Auditing
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to handle confidential information
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Relevant detail oriented certification (e.g., CPA) is preferred
- Familiarity with federal, state, and local laws regarding accounting, finances, and taxation.
