- Design and draft fire production products in accordance with all applicable codes within the scope of the contract.
- Review project plans / documents.
- Oversee design techniques, as assigned and overseeing block out and the layout for projects.
- Assist with project coordination, initial scheduling, change requests, and technical assistance.
- Field check project construction and handle field questions as needed.
- Communicate all correspondence on the project schedule or manpower requests to the field superintendent.
- Obtain all necessary approvals and reviews of the project design submittal.
- Assist estimators and design staff with technical interpretations as needed.
- Maintain engineering folders and records for each project.
- 3-5+ years of experience.
- NICET certifications a plus
- Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and / or HydraCad
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to read and interpret system designs prepared by others.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
