About The Position
Job Title : Travel Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty : Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 6 : 00 PM - 6 : 00 AM Guaranteed Hours : Not specified Experience : Minimum of 2 years in an ICU setting License : Registered Nurse (RN) Certifications : BLS, ACLS Must-Have : - Experience in medical, surgical, neuro, or trauma ICU settings- Flexibility and willingness to collaborate with the team- Positive, patient-centered mindset Job Description : Work in a 28-bed ICU consisting of two pods.
Pod A includes 12 beds, and Pod B includes 16 beds.- Be part of a team that includes a mix of experienced nursing staff, some with over 20 years of expertise.
- Engage with critically ill patients including those with neuro-surgical and trauma conditions, cardiac and respiratory arrest cases, and patients undergoing alcohol or drug withdrawal.
- Utilize equipment such as Pyxis, Plum Pump IVs, GE bedside monitors, Nelcor, Artic Sun, and Sub Zero.- Function in patient ratios typically ranging from 1 : 2, with adjustments based on acuity levels.
- Collaborate with 24 / 7 Intensivists who are highly regarded for their teaching willingness and respectful interaction with staff.
- Take part in a positive work atmosphere with a welcoming and appreciative ICU team.- Contribute to a unit preparing for its level II trauma survey.
