Your Role & Impact We are seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial Tax Partner to lead and grow our tax practice. This key leadership role is responsible for serving as a Client Executive for a portfolio of tax clients, providing high-level advisory services and relationship management. In addition to client service, this partner will oversee administrative leadership of the tax department, including internal operations, training, technology, and global resource management. The ideal candidate brings a combination of technical tax acumen, leadership and operational skills, and a strong business development mindset. Key Responsibilities Client Executive & Advisory Serve as the primary relationship manager and strategic advisor for a portfolio of business and individual tax clients. Lead complex tax planning, compliance, structuring, and consulting engagements. Proactively identify client needs and opportunities for value-added services. Ensure the highest level of client satisfaction and service delivery. Departmental Leadership & Administration Manage departmental operations, including scheduling and workflow allocation, ensuring efficiency and quality. Lead internal training and development programs to support staff growth and technical excellence. Oversee tax software platforms, implementation, usage, and optimization in coordination with IT and vendors. Coordinate and manage outsourced tax preparation work to offshore teams, ensuring alignment with firm standards and deadlines. Identify and implement process improvements and operational best practices across the department. Assist in annual budgeting and resource planning for the tax function. Firm Leadership & Growth Collaborate with fellow partners on firm-wide initiatives and strategic planning. Drive business development by deepening existing relationships and pursuing new opportunities. Contribute to talent recruitment and retention by fostering a positive, performance-driven culture. Your Skills and Experience CPA required; MST, JD, or LLM in Taxation preferred. Minimum of 10 years of experience in public accounting, with at least 3–5 years in a senior leadership or partner-track role. Extensive experience advising corporate, partnership, and individual clients on complex tax matters. Demonstrated leadership in managing teams, operations, and client relationships. Strong understanding of tax technology platforms and workflow tools. Experience managing offshore tax preparation resources is a plus. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to continuous improvement.
